Maurice Brassard 8/4 Unmercerized Cotton Weaving Yarn

A classic choice for sturdy, durable handwovens, this 8/4 unmercerized cotton offers the same beautiful quality as 8/2, in a thicker, more substantial weight.

Made by twisting two 8/2 strands together, it provides added strength and body while maintaining a soft, matte finish — ideal for placemats, rugs, table runners, baby blankets, and tea towels.

Suitable for warp or weft on floor looms, rigid heddle, and frame looms. Also excellent for macramé, knitting machines, and other cotton-based fiber crafts.

Stainless steel weaving reeds designed for smooth, consistent performance

on both floor looms and table looms. Each reed is made from high-quality

stainless steel for excellent rust resistance and long-term durability.

These reeds are fully custom made — we can produce any dents per inch and

any length. For reference, we've listed pricing for our most common

options: 6 to 12 DPI, in lengths ranging from 25" to 45", at an average

height of 4.5". Minimum length varies depending on your chosen height and

DPI — if you need something shorter than 25", contact us and we'll confirm

what's possible.

SIZING GUIDE Standard pricing applies to reeds approximately 4.5" high. Other heights are available — just reach out to Weavers Weft for a custom quote. Reed height is often adjustable depending on your beater design (most allow some flexibility). Reed Length reflects the approximate weaving width. Actual reed length may measure up to 1" longer. You can always use a reed narrower than your maximum weaving width — but not always one that's wider, as beater clearance may limit the fit. Please measure carefully to ensure your chosen reed will fit inside your loom's beater. HOW TO ORDER
